Yeah like everyone else says you could take a break, weeks, months, years if you're that bored.
What I do is just reflect the world through art and animations or just do whatever pops in my head, made a picture of Epic Mickey just yesterday.
You feel acomplishment in what you did and its interesting what people tell you. Also there are some new series animations out now like LARRY, Apocalypse Please, WHOOKOS, etc.

heres an idea. Take a break from the site, find something fun to do and then come back to teh site. Let things build up like news threads or new artists come and youll have all the time to catch up and get back to bordom.
