The graze is something that's in Touhou and other shooters, where when you get dangerously close to a bullet, you "graze" it, and usually get points, or a bonus. I currently have a weak implementation of it, but it works.

Ah, now I see, well...when I get touched by a bullet directly, I still get grazed

Ah, that's intentional. It'll make more sense and feel better to control once I shrink the graze and hit boxes. Think of it this way: if you got hit with a football, that means it came dangerously close to you, right? So the graze still needs to be counted.
